+Berklee College of Music , and  +UC Berkeley 

Occasionally I guilt trip myself for being the ONLY one in hundreds of members of my family to not have multiple degrees, but this Article confirms my path.

One of the great take aways I got was that the more targeted

your market is and your marketing is, the better. There

are people out there in the world that are searching for

what you have to offer.

Here are the +Wall Street Journal 's 6 tips for Niche Marketing

1. Target your Market

2. Listen to your customers. Really

3. Control Production Costs

4. Control Distribution Costs

5. Some Apparent Losers are worth keeping (some products you have might not be right at the moment, but their day will come)

6. Prune your portfolio ( of products) ruthlessly

According to +Entrepreneur magazine there are only three rules

'1. Meet their unique needs. The benefits you promise must have special appeal to the market niche. What can you provide that's new and compelling? Identify the unique needs of your potential audience, and look for ways to tailor your product or service to meet them.

2. Say the right thing. When approaching a new market niche, it's imperative to speak their language. In other words, you should understand the market's "hot buttons" and be prepared to communicate with the target group as an understanding member--not an outsider. In addition to launching a unique campaign for the new niche, you may need to alter other, more basic elements, such as your company slogan if it translates poorly to another language, for example.

3. Always test-market. Before moving ahead, assess the direct competitors you'll find in the new market niche and determine how you will position against them. For an overview, it's best to conduct a competitive analysis by reviewing competitors' ads, brochures and Web sites, looking for their key selling points, along with pricing, delivery and other service characteristics.'

Let's start with the old school and I'm speaking from experience.

Step 1. Join Network Marketing Company
Step 2. Buy all their products/services
Step 3. Make a warm list of everyone you know-friends, family, business associates, etc
Step 4. Show them the opportunity
Step 5. 3 -way call with your sponsor to give them third party edification
Step 6. get 5-10 new leads a day by meeting people face to face and attempting to change their lives, profession, temperament, turn the into sales people, drag them across the finish line - 
Step 7 if enough people that you drag into the biz sign up and start selling you start making commissions ........ eventually
Step 8 repeat until success or burnout and QUIT



New School Marketing

Step 1. Join Company
Step 2. buy the products and services
Step 3. Find people online whose problem you can solve with your product or business
Step 4. Market to those people who ALREADY WANT WHAT YOU HAVE by doing steps 5-7
Step 5. Create Content - BLOG
Step 6. Capture Leads
Step 7. Convert Sales

Commitment

Today is Sunday. I just finished 4 gigs in 3 days in Houston. A very successful weekend
